Not A Love Story (2011)

Not A Love Story is a crime/thriller movie based on the gruesome murder of Neeraj Grover in 2008 that led to the arrest of Emile Jerome and Maria Susairaj. Starring Mahie Gill, Deepak Dobriyal and Ajay Gehi. Directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The movie was released on 19 August 2011. Ram Gopal Varma has announced that the film is not a biopic but is inspired by the case.[1][2]

Not A Love Story has been critisized by some movie critics whereas others have praised it. Veteran director Mahesh Bhatt has praised Ram Gopal Varma for his new experiement.

Napoleon Dynamite (2004)

Napoleon Dynamite is a 2004 comedy film co-written and directed by Jared Hess and Jerusha Hess and stars Jon Heder as Napoleon Dynamite. The film was Jared Hess's first full-length feature and is partially adapted from his earlier short film, Peluca.

Napoleon Dynamite was filmed in and near Franklin County, Idaho, in the summer of 2003. It debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2004. In June 2004 it was given a limited release. Its wide release followed in August. The film's total worldwide gross revenue was $46,140,956.[2] The film has since developed a cult following.


Napoleon Dynamite (Jon Heder) is an eccentric high school student from Preston, Idaho who lives with his grandmother (Sandy Martin), his older brother Kip (Aaron Ruell) and their pet llama, Tina. Kip, 32, is not currently employed and boasts of spending hours in internet chat rooms with "babes" and training to be a cage fighter. Napoleon daydreams his way through school, doodling ligers and other fantastic creatures and being bullied.

Napoleon's grandmother breaks her coccyx in a quad bike accident and, believing her grandsons cannot be trusted to look after themselves, asks Uncle Rico (Jon Gries) to stay with them while she recovers. Uncle Rico is in his 40's and a former high-school quarterback who lives in an orange 1975 Dodge Santana campervan. His presence, although increasingly irksome to Napoleon, is a boon to Kip as he and Uncle Rico embark on a joint project to become door-to-door salesmen. Kip reveals that he would like to earn some money to enable him to meet his new internet girlfriend from Detroit, LaFawnduh Lucas (Shondrella Avery). Uncle Rico is not averse to using Napoleon's name to gain credibility in his attempts to sell herbal breast-enhancement products to Napoleon's school mates, causing increasing friction between Uncle Rico, Napoleon and Deb.

Napoleon makes two new friends at school, Deb and Pedro. Deb (Tina Majorino) is a shy and sensitive girl. The two have a falling out when Uncle Rico attempts to sell her breast-enhancement herbs and implies that Napoleon suggested it. Pedro (Efren Ramirez) is a transfer student from Juárez, Mexico, who decides to run for class president against popular girl Summer Wheatley (Haylie Duff). Despite a couple of hiccups, the campaign goes well until the time Pedro is about to deliver his final speech, when he discovers that each candidate must perform a skit afterward. Having not prepared a routine, a despondent Pedro gives a lackluster speech, believing that his candidacy is over. Napoleon gives a music tape he had received from the visiting LaFawnduh to the sound engineer and performs a dance routine (to "Canned Heat" by Jamiroquai), which wins a standing ovation from the school audience.

The film closes out with a montage of scenes showing a happy ending for all concerned. Pedro wins the class presidency. LaFawnduh, smitten with Kip right from the start, transforms his fashion, and they leave town together. A fully recovered Grandma returns and has clearly missed Tina, the llama, more than her grandchildren. Uncle Rico's girlfriend returns to Rico, and while Napoleon is playing tether ball by himself, Deb shows up and starts playing with him, having forgiven her friend.

A post-credits scene, added after the festival release, reveals Kip and LaFawnduh getting married. Napoleon is noticed as missing by Pedro and Uncle Rico, but as Kip sings for LaFawnduh, Napoleon rides up to them on a brown horse, and says that he has tamed a wild honeymoon stallion for them, which they use to leave their wedding.

Never Talk To Strangers (1995)

Psychologist Dr. Sarah Taylor (Rebecca De Mornay) is a guarded, aloof criminal psychologist who interviews a client who is a rapist, and is pleading NGRI. It is later revealed that she was the subject of daily rapes as a child by her estranged father who is shown to be very ill. Sarah meets Tony (Banderas) in a shopping mall, and she gives him her number, thus a relationship begins despite the advances of one of her neighbors. Days into the relationship Sarah begins to get death threats and strange gifts, such as dead flowers. As she gets more romantic with Tony, the gifts get more extreme. Her lifelong cat is killed, at which point Sarah goes to the police. Sarah then hires a detective and has Tony followed, only to find out something she least expected from her passionate lover.

No Strings Attached is a 2011 American romantic comedy film starring Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. The film is directed by Ivan Reitman. Emma (Portman) and Adam (Kutcher) are friends who have sex one morning and worry about their friendship being ruined. They make a pact to have "no strings attached"; to have casual sex without falling in love with each other.[3] The film was released in the United States and Canada on January 21, 2011.

Emma (Natalie Portman) and Adam (Ashton Kutcher) are two friends who keep bumping into each other after years apart. Emma and Adam meet again through their mutual friend Patrice, when Emma is a resident in a local hospital and Adam is the assistant on a High School Musical-like TV-show, with aspirations of becoming a script writer. Adam takes down Emma’s phone number, but forgets to call her.

Six months later, Adam becomes distraught when he learns that his eccentric father (Kevin Kline)—who used to be the star of a TV show called “Great Scott”—is having a relationship with Adam’s ex-girlfriend Vanessa (Ophelia Lovibond). Determined to ‘get back on the wagon’, Adam starts calling every woman in his cell phone. The next day, he wakes up after a drunken night to find out that he text-messaged Emma and came to the home she shares with some other residents, including Patrice (Greta Gerwig). Emma leads Adam to her bedroom to retrieve his pants, when the two of them wind up having sex.

Because Emma does not believe in love – she believes that ‘no two people were meant to be together forever' – Emma proposes that they have casual sex with each other, setting some ground rules for each other to prevent their relationship from becoming too serious. At first things go well, but then Adam starts becoming jealous of the possibility of Emma being with another doctor, Sam. Although denying that he is jealous, Adam starts presenting her with gifts, which she rebuffs.

Adam becomes more distraught when his father asks him to dinner with Vanessa on Adam’s birthday, where they announce that they’re planning to have a baby together. Emma, who accompanied Adam to the dinner, berates the couple while defending Adam. Adam eventually convinces her to go out with him on a date on Valentine’s Day. Things come to a head when Emma starts becoming too uncomfortable about being on a date with Adam. Adam tells Emma that he loves her, but she grows angry, telling him he should go out with another woman who ‘isn’t going to hurt you’. Adam drops Emma off at her hospital and drives off.

Six weeks later, a script Adam had written for his show and submitted through Lucy (Lake Bell), the production assistant on the show, is being filmed, and Adam gets a writing job on the show. Emma, meanwhile, has become distraught at not being with Adam, which is compounded by her younger sister, Katie's (Olivia Thirlby) upcoming wedding the next day and her widowed mother (Talia Balsam) arriving with a new boyfriend.

Emma tries calling Adam, but Adam rebuffs her on the phone. Emma realizes she wants to be with him, and drives down to his home. Adam, however, arrives home with Lucy, whom Emma takes to be Adam's new girlfriend. Emma tearfully starts driving back to the wedding.

Before Adam and the production assistant can have sex, Vanessa calls Adam – his father is in the hospital, having overdosed on cough syrup. Arriving at the hospital, Vanessa confesses that she doesn’t want to be with an older man, and dumps her dog off on Adam, who talks to his father and chastises him, but tells him he’ll call tomorrow.

On the way out, Adam calls Emma back. Adam angrily tells Emma that she needs to have the conversation she wants in person – which she does; Emma’s friend and resident Shira (Mindy Kaling) noticed Adam's father arriving and called Emma. Adam and Emma eventually reconcile, and after a morning of eating breakfast together they go together to Emma’s sister’s wedding. Emma asks, “So, what happens now?” and Adam silently holds her hand.

In the concluding pictures, it is seen that Lucy - left stranded when Adam and Emma found each other - has taken up with Adam's father, replacing the feckless Vanessa. Eli and Patrice are shown meeting Eli's two gay dads. Vanessa is seen in an elevator with old people, being visibly disconcerted. Shira is seen with Sam telling him that she wants to see other people. Emma is later seen as the delivery doctor to her sister while her husband tries to soothe her. Guy is seen welcoming someone into the on-call room it turns out to be Sam. The last scene concludes with Adam and Emma snuggling together while asleep.
